Payment

For orders placed through our website, we accept payment via personal or business checks drawn on a US bank, all major credit and debit cards, or PayPal. For international orders that are over $1,000 we can provide bank wire information if you prefer.

Please note that for purchases made via check, we will wait until the check has cleared before we are able to send the book(s).

Institutions

Deferred billing is available for institutions, please inquire for details.

Sales Tax

For shipments within the state of California, state sales tax will apply.

Those with a valid reseller certificate on file will not be charged sales tax, please indicate such in the comments section when ordering.

Shipping

Standard shipping within the US is by USPS media mail with a signature for $6.50, with further charges as noted for particularly heavy books or sets. International shipping, expedited shipping, or other arrangements will be quoted at cost.

For international orders, we use the USPS International First Class when possible, or Priority International when necessary. International shipping is billed at cost, we do not upcharge for our packaging; we will notify you separately of the cost via email.

If there is a need to receive your order quickly, please contact us and we will make all necessary arrangements to meet your needs.

Returns

We do not accept returns for books sold through our storefront. 

Returns of online orders are subject to review on a case by case basis. 

B Street Books abides by the ABAA code of ethics. We strive to describe all books accurately. If a book has been inaccurately described, we will offer a full refund. We accept returns of any book within 30 days and refund the price, minus shipping costs, so long as the book is returned in the same condition it was sent.

Privacy

B Street Books never shares your contact information or purchase history with any outside party. For further details, see the “Privacy Policy” page on our web site.
