This appears to be a reissue of a famous 1851 book which covers the topics of eating well at the lowest possible price, how to dine at restaurants, wines, recipes and nutritional principles. Laid in is a card from the very famous Paris restaurant A. Beauvilliers. While we are unable to date the card, the owner Edouard Carlier passed away in 2003. We were only able to find two other copies available in the trade and one copy in auction records (RBH). Please contact us with any questions. Paper covered boards are rubbed, corners rubbed and bumped, wear to all edges, Spine sunned. Dampstaining to rear board. Hinges are sound, paper is discolored, highlighting to one recipe on page 236.
