New York: Privately Printed, 1930. Hardcover. A privately printed collection of indecent anecdotes from the great Renaissance humanist scholar Poggio Fiorentino. Poggio was born in 1380 to a poor family and after gaining an education he served as a secretary to various Popes and religious councils. Contained in the "Facetia Erotica" are various raucous and carnal stories which were related around meetings he attended and made notes of. This volume is out of series, as noted. Description: Red cloth over boards, title and author in gilt to front board, title in gilt to spine; measures approximately 8 1/4" by 5 7/8", pagination; [1-4] 2-164, contains eleven woodcuts. Overall near fine. The slightest of edgewear to head and tail of spine, slight edgewear to corners, the textblock is square and the hinges are strong, the slipcase is only in good condition with a 3" piece of the spine missing. Quite a nice copy. Very Good. Item #JE20
