Wolo's fourth book, in which the monkey Sir Archibald (introduced in his earlier "Amanda") has many adventure recovering the crown of the King, learning "a great many things about fear and courage -- primarily that "nothing is to be feared but fear"" (rear flap). Unclipped jacket, with matching paper covered boards, illustrated endpapers, slight damage to edge of rear free endpaper. NB small closed tear to spine of jacket, with corresponding damage to spine. 10.5 x 8". "Wolo" was employed by the San Francisco Chronicle as a caricaturist in the 1930's, as well as providing murals in his distinctive style to local restaurants and children's hospitals.
