"The Home Vegetable Garden". An undated reprint of a pamphlet first published by the Berkeley War Council in April, 1944, compiled by H.M. Butterfield of the University of California and the Victory Garden Committee. A detailed guide to vegetable growing in Berkeley, taking account of the climate and soil. Stapled, [24pp].5.5 x 8.5". Pages considerably toned, neat writing on front and back covers [list of local places?]. The Ecology Center adds only a note on the inner cover warning that some of the advice on pesticides may be out of date, recycling a text from one period and context into another. Very Good.
