First thus of Combe's satirical poems, with a preface noting that "It is presumed that, when printed in stereotype, from a clear, distinct Letter, and decorated with coloured engravings, after Mr. ROWLANDSON"S so much admired designs, but reduced with an undeviating and perspicuous accuracy, a cheap and portable volume will be presented to the public approval and accommodation". Three quarter bindings. Slight wear at joints, leather peeling slightly at corners, creasing to cloth of back panels. Top edges gilt, marbled endpapers, offsetting from plates. Vol I: [ii], 276pp, Directions to the Binder with instruction for placing 31 plates including frontispiece and whimsical title page. Vol II: [iv], 277, [1]pp, 24 plates including frontispiece.
