Territory of Alaska: Session Laws, Resolutions and Memorials 1913; Passed at the First Regular Session of the Territorial Legislature
Juneau, Alaska: Daily Empire Print, 1913. Hardcover. "Passed at the First Regular Session of the Territorial Legislature, Convened at Juneau, the Capital, on the Third Day of March, 1913, and Adjourned Sine Die, the First Day of May, 1913."
Poor binding, as often, with substantial loss to the outer layer of leather of the spine. While unattractive on a shelf, the webbing and stitching are firm and the text block is square and intact, with slight toning to the pages throughout.
Previous owner's name on the fixed endpaper (Aaron E Rucker, who was included in a list of Attorneys resident in Seward, Alaska in 1923). The remains of his name are likewise visible at the tail of the spine. Two neat notes record an amendment and a repeal in the session laws of 1923 (pp.40-41).
*NB: An apparent printing error in the prefaced "Organic Act" places page xxii on the verso of page xix (thus omitting pages xx and xxi), reduplicates this xix/xxii leaf, and then reduplicates the following leaf, with the conclusion of the act on page xxiii and a table of the compiled laws on the verso. This table shows some offsetting not seen elsewhere in the book. The following 463 numbered pages appear in the expected order. Fair. Item #2024-Q293
