A diary of a summer spent camping on an island in Ontario, with portraits of local residents and fellow campers, including the chemist Dr. Edward Renouf, to whom the book is dedicated, as well as detailed description of the landscape, flora and fauna. Davidson's previous book, "A Winter Of Content" documented an earlier winter sojourn. Green covers with gilt ornamentation, slight bumping to corners and extremities, top edge stained light green.
