In service to the last goal more than half of the final volume consists of a long appendix with reproductions of private letters, newspaper articles, poems, and accounts. Handsome later three-quarter binding, with marbled paper and matching endpapers, top edge stained red. Previous owner's name on the flyleaf (James Lawson, 1867), facing a previous bookseller's notes in pencil. Three volumes in one, lacking a title for volume three.
