The story of a young girls first trip to Yosemite and her harrowing encounter with a mountain lion; she is saved from danger by a stranger. This is believed to be the first book ever written with Fresno, Ca. as the central location. The Book Club of California had this book on a recommended list at one time. Overall good. Stains and soiling to front and read boards, corners bumped and worn through to boards, wear to head and tail of spine, front hinge has slight crack, front free end paper worn, rear hinge has slight crack, rear free end paper worn, prior owner inscription to front free end paper, otherwise clean.
