From Billiards to Whist to Poker to Chess and including Keno. The rules of each game are provided along with the odds. Attributed to Brisbane in Jessel's bibliography (Jessel 394). Description: Dark brown pebbled cloth over boards, beveled edges, hand holding cards in gilt to the front board, similar design blind debossed to rear board, title and publisher in gilt to spine, yellow endpapers; measures approximately 7 1/2" by 5 1/8", pagination; [1-3] 4-525, [i-ii] ads. Overall good condition. The spine has been professionally rebacked, rubbing to corners and foredges to boards, the spine is slightly sunned, hinges are sound and the text block is square, a few pages with slight foxing, no prior owner markings, overall quite good.
