This volume was written by Edward Caswall under the pseudonym "Quiz", but is often attributed to Dickens because Dickens wrote two sequels: Sketches of Young Gentlemen and Sketches of Young Couples. 6 ¼" x 4". Greenish-grey boards with illustrated front cover, advertisement on back, and small flower design on spine, original yellow endpapers. Frontispiece with onion skin intact, full-title, copyright, [iii]-v preface, [vii]-viii contents, [1]-80. Includes all 6 plates, each with onion skin intact. Condition: Boards are bumped, rubbed, and soiled with chips of paper missing to spine by the front hinge. Two ex-libris bookplate stickers and a large signature to front endpapers. Good.
