The autobiography of the artist Jennie Vennerström Cannon, who played a key role promoting the interests of women artists in Carmel and Berkeley, inscribed by the author on the second free endpaper. Includes a collection of material relating to Cannon: a photograph of Cannon, age 82, labeled 'Happy go Lucky'; a letter; and newspaper clippings tracing Cannon's life from the publication of her autobiography in 1942 ('Berkeleyan's Sod Shanty Days in Minnesota') through her move to Tuscon in 1948 ('J.V. Cannon, Noted Artist, is to End 30 Years' Stay in City') and her death in 1952 ('Famed Local Artist Passes'). Red and tan boards, some fading, especially to the spine. Some cracking at the joints.
