The text details subsidence early in the history of the city, and after the earthquake of 1906 and areas were filled-in. 107 pp., including bibliography. 9" x 12". Green paper boards, black printed titles to front cover and spine. No edition stated. Black and white illustrations, maps, graphs, and diagrams, color map on page 38. Condition: Edges of covers are faded to tan from original green, extending 2" down from head at top edge, spine along rear cover has narrow ½" chip, black printed titles are intact and unfaded. Front and rear endpapers are glued along inner 2" to front and rear covers, prior owner's name and address verso to title page, text/diagrams/maps are bright and intact including color map on page 38, pages 91-107 have ¼" x ¼" chip ½" from hinge.
