So Red the Nose includes comical cocktail recipes from writers starting with Ernest Hemingway's Death in the Afternoon Cocktail (absinthe + champagne, drink 3-5 of these). An introduction states the goal of the book was to "Ask several of the literati to concoct original holiday drinks! Name these concoctions after their books." 7.75" x 5.25". Magenta cloth boards with stylish silver illustration and title to front cover. First edition dated 1935. Signed by one of the authors, inscribed "To Dr. Lee Alexander Stone with the author's very best wishes, Carl Kroch" on front free endpaper. Ends with humorous ad for "Bedroom Companion". Condition: No Dust Jacket. Spine slightly sunned. Just a touch of wear to corners. Previous owner's name to pastedown endpaper. Pages are clean and unmarked with vivid illustrations.
