Willis Linn Jepson graduated from UC Berkeley in 1889, and again with a PhD in 1899, quickly became known at California's leading botanist, and also formed the Sierra Club with John Muir and Warren Olney in 1892. 7" x 5". 223 pp. including index and glossary. Maroon cloth boards with stamped black design on cover and titles to spine. Contains sporadic illustrations of California plants, designed as a dichotomous key. Minor bumping to boards, binding is tight. Ex-libris on ffep, text is without marks and black/white illustrations are vibrant. Near fine. No jacket, likely as issued. Very Good / No Jacket.
